In healthy aging men with erectile dysfunction (ED), low dose testosterone therapy added to low-dose phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE-5) inhibitor therapy significantly improves erectile function and quality of life, according to research presented this week at ENDO 2005, the 87th annual meeting of The Endocrine Society.

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has commissioned the the National Collaborating Centre for Cancer to develop a clinical guideline on the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer for use, for use in the National Health Service (NHS) in England and Wales. This follows referral of the topic by the Department of Health (DoH). The guideline will provide recommendations for good practice that are based on the best available evidence of clinical and cost effectiveness.
